Jab Harry Met my heart...

7th of August.
49 degrees centigrade in lava land Kuwait.
I got all dressed up. Wearing my Heart excitement Guccis and my soul scented euphoria.
It's finally My Hot Jab Harry Met Sejal Day! First time since years, i couldn't attent FDFS for a Shah Rukh Khan film. I had to travel between two continents to go live this unique experience of being trapped with him in a room for two hours and something. (not that a stuck in an elevator fantasy wouldn't do tho) but it was totally worth it!
Nabokov said"Imagination is the muscle of the soul" and i have been excessively working out on that since i've known Him (sorry nabokov, not you i meant i hope u don't mind)
Being His ardent Fan and lover i have seen all his endeavours, his ambitious projects, be it movies or even ads and he never failed to amaze me every single time! and i am the hardest to please.
He digs out of his soul layers to deliver an out of his world performance that astonishes the artist in me more than the viewer. says a lot about the calibre of actor he actually is and i know the iceberg of his talent is yet to be scratched with all its nuances and flashing sparks.
I am a tourist guide by profession. i lived The life of Harry the Punjabi Tour guide who has identity issues, homeless with a home in each city he thinks he knows by heart till he dreams and it turns into a nightmare. I Know about giving others of what you helplessly need. i do feel how it feels to wave a goodbye with a smiling please stay and i know how cold the wind howls in lonely streets afterwards. i felt the Harry in me growling with every still. He sells time and guides others to their ideas of fun in strange places, He understands the geography of the moments and the history of oblivion.
Harry is a tourist guide based in Europe, extremely handsome and that is a treat (both for our eyes and the story) it's perfectly natural for girls traveling abroad in a group to get attracted to the sexy tour guide (and vice versa) they get this feeling of breaking free, doing all they can't do back home including boosting their feminine ego by trying to get his attention in a light way normally and they both know its temporary till the trip ends and in our beautiful case here till the ring is found (once i got a marriage proposal tho but of course i had to convince the french guy that the ancient Egyptian Gods will curse me to hell if i accepted so he took his ring back to his fiancee)

it's a raw take on human behavious, i saw it in real life and lived it! mesmerized me how graciously both SRK and Imtiaz got to wholeheartedly unfold it the way they did.
i got flashbacks of my life as a tourist guide with Harry and Sejal. it's stunning to me how Imtiaz Ali to whom i am a big fan could reach such deep layers of a difficult topics everytime! with so much lighthearted simplicity and fresh takes.
His cadres are pure Art, paintings of emotions and passion. And we get to see unbuttoned shirted Shah Rukh Khan romancing His love in Cold Budapest with a warm smile giving us all kinds of feels and spine shivers (knowing he definitely had them too in his cold bitten bones)
Harry is a ball of emotions rolling down the hill of a true love found after he thought he lost it to the yellow fields of Punjab. he is vulnerable to this feeling, he fought it with more indifference and sometimes even harshness and so did sejal, she keeps trying to get his affection as a selfish girl so full of herself playing with the fire of the seducing game until it burned them both to life.
this void inside that no one could fill but the one who is seeking to. Harry got me completely, i wanted to hug his head when he woke up crying (there, i lost all my trials to professional here) i felt then a tear roll softly on my cold cheeck. i wish this scene was a bit longer.
I saw his hidden desire blowing in his eyes with the mad wind that held him calling out for Sejal as she is sitting right behind him by that sea of turmoil. He knows she will leave like they all do and breaks his heart but who can stand in front of this silly emotion. even cheap Harry couldn't. he finally gave in to the mighty 'Sejal" Hurricane for there is a reason why they get named after people.
I Particularly loved Lisbon cobblestones takes, this Fado song ate me from inside. i still feel myself trembling till now at the silent tears at this revelation moment.
I liked the ring metaphor for everything we think we look for, we believe we seek and try hard to find tho it is the one seeking us, and we get found. the self discovery of our lost emotions or better the all the time in our heart bags that come out in the time we are ready to let them be. when we are aware of their existence but may be we don't need it anymore.
the scene of Sejal watching Harry in the very beginning from her balcony is marvelous. how she knew by then something got tackled in her soul. he somehow touched her from all this distance, i enjoyed this fuzzy feeling of breaking open.
Anushka took my breath away as Sejal, all the irritating silliness and sometimes rough attitude is well portrayed an so real for a girl who works with laws and regulations and knows she is about to break every single one.
Shah Rukh Khan who brilliantly wore Harry is again not found! i didnt see a Raj or a Rahul in Jab Harry met Sejal. this is another new romantic perspective that he sensitively depicted.not many can get this top notch performance i understand. but i was in awe. how does he manage it? (He has a great manager! Ok sorry i couldn't help it :p)
He gives birth to a new Him with every role, that is his power as an actor. He surprised me  and as i claim to be a little familiar with the art of words, i was speechless before his eloquent eyes vocabulary.
Jab Harry Met Sejal is a beautiful film. an enjoyable experience. A dose of light and romance and that we desperately need in these Bloody hard times. the picturesque locations are an element in all Imtiaz_Hair all over the place_ Ali that i personally look forward to, the magical captions of nature's beauty is his domain and he got all kinds of delights in this one hands down (including this smexy chest tattoo flashes that we needed a full close up of though)
very good comic timings between Shah Rukh and Anushka. i laughed with these gangster scenes and loved how they managed the eyes language even then.
The background score is just perfect! perhaps the best music Album i heard in so long! every song fits gloriously especially Yaadon mein and Ghar..i wish they can released in videos (with english subtitles please)
I WAS in a dream watching jab harry met sejal. so much unspoken passion that took me to a world only Shah Rukh Khan CAN do. a fairytale i live with him everytime he breathes. a true blue romantic u are my love! you can deny it all u want but it's THERE! in those lil intimate gestures ur body screams even when ur lips are sealed.
that moment when u asked Sejal to hug u, i wrapped both my arms tight and held u in a moment i took with me off the dark room. Only YOU could do that to a frightened, insecure, crazy, silly and confused to clarity poet. and if this is not success i donno what is.
It's a film to be watched with heart eyes and felt with soul beats. we owe it to our tiered beings in this heartless universe. a fresh spring breeze in an endless emotionless winter.
finally(i probably bored the hell out of u by now but bear with me please bec some words are stuck in my throat) ART is free, all u can do is to accept it. let it touch you in its own way, interpret it as it relatively move you no standards for that nor collections.
Let yourself be driven to the power that pulls you, expect nothing but from your own will.
Go for Jab Harry met Sejal with a heart, only then u can find what you seek, seeking you.

P.S. i took that (king) size bed with me too. u don't mind NE?
I LOVE YOU Shah...Forever and beyond!
A tour guide who would leave her life to runaway with Her "H(e)rry".

Raees by heart

After 3 long shots of black Coffee i was finally getting ready to go, that too in black (but couldn't find a black Pathani unfortunately) kohl in my eyes, wearing my two long years of wait and a childlike excitement all over my senses. there is something definitely sensual about bad guys, these gangster types that makes a girl swoon. and when that baddy is Shah Rukh Khan you know you are in real trouble!
with this daring surma in his eyes and baniye ka dimaagh of his beautiful mind. Raees hooked me.
on my way i had flashbacks of the God father, Scarface (Obviously the Al Pacino effect) and All those old Hindi movies my mother and i used to watch on Thursday nights in our VCR, clap and whistle to all its surreal action that was totally unbelievable yet we bought them! then the moment came and Raees started narrating the story of a young boy who discovered he is shortsighted and  largehearted.
Raees tells the story of the bootlegger in a small town in Gujarat who made his way to Don the area and Corleone his opponents in a treat to watch Dhingana . We have the good cup Majumdar who is played by the magnificent Nawazuddin siddiqui who takes it to his heart that he will get Raees no matter what. a very subtle relationship grows between both of them almost a love story which to me was refreshing and interesting reminding us of Tom and Jerry in a way, both hating each other and yet don't leave each other alone as He himself said in a brilliant scene.
The philosophy of belief, be it in whatever work one does or even in whatever faith one follows is the drive of this film. Raees believes after his mother's teachings that work no matter how small it is or big is important and Majumdar also believes that every work should be legal to be important, he also believes in doing his job the way it should be.
It is all about belief. faith which place is the heart. Raees has that heart, it is easy to hate a killer and feel happy when justice prevails and good wins over evil but that was not the case with Raees. at least to me. it wasn't empathy either, i just felt immense admiration and full understanding, may be a lil love to this character, not because Shah Rukh Khan sexily portrayed him, but Raees has this quality, u can't hate him! in my at the moment gangster mind i cheered when he fired those who wanted to kill him or took his revenge from his betraying enemies. twisted much? may be but i respected Raees. there i said it! sue me!
It is a dangerous thing to find in yourself a space to justify taking out souls or illegal business but i think somehow it opens the gates of humanity in our modern prejudiced souls. it reminds us that every saint has a past but every sinner has a future, Raees is too much human in that sense.
Pure art Shah Rukh Khan scenes, his facial turns, muscles bursts, emotional details. a volcano of his talent erupted especially with himself. i felt a certain fine line of light there, like a revelation between the giving actor and his greedy character. a larger than even his king size life portrait it is indeed.

His love story with Aasiya came naturally breed in the tune of the film, his relationship with his best friend sadiq (pun intended), people of his area, how he helped them when they needed there are some Robin Hood moments that really touched my heart.
Raees is not just a masala movie but i got so much intrigued with its message and philosophy. He was not victimizing himself, he took responsibility of his actions, a thread of honesty that dragged those looks in the cop's eyes in their last National Award kinda confrontation scene.
I normally go to Shah Rukh Khan movies with all my love, extremely open to his entertainment and ready to absorb whatever his magical presence in the film floods, may be a lil biased or a lot but i do believe that he has a deep well of potential that should be kept in artistic use. so glad lately this had been the case. i don't count film fates with BO numbers of course like the platonic Utopian vagabond poet that i am but i know some films live forever, Raees is one. Raees is a deep layered character that nobody in this world could've give it justice but Shah Rukh Khan the Theater actor who redefined himself in the most epic way. I kept looking for him in his face that i know by heart, in his voice even in his walk! but he was no where to be found! I forgot i was watching Shah Rukh Khan and that happened with me only with Fan.
Dear Shah Rukh, i won't say that cliche of welcome back because to me you never leave, in every character u play, i find you but as an avid cinema lover, Raees is dominating! that much skill you have to completely un-skin yourself of your persona, that was a cheer bliss to watch! tells much about an actor of your caliber and it is not surprising.
The action scenes superbly directed and got me at the edge of my seat especially that fight in the meat place and the rooftop chase i know how hard it is with a broken patella to even walk properly but there you are jumping all over and dancing Gharba! painfully impressive.
Two years of hard work from all Raees Team paid off, Gotta salute Rahul Dholakia for carrying such a heavy weight film with so much confidence and Excel.
The Camera was a second heroine in Raees, The magician KU Manmohan Shots delivered charming beauty to every frame. it was real, raw, intense like what it was capturing on celluloid.
Achieving the crucial balance between the school of realism and the commercial popular masses cinema, Raees reached another level of finesse. as an audience it was engaging. another feather in the cap of this film makers.
Mahira Khan is totally filling her role, sublime performance and handled her screen presence with Shah Rukh Khan exceptionally well! being a crazy fangirl like we all are i can imagine how much hard that was. she is a true discovery for me in Raees and it is a true loss they can't work together again! a unique innocence about her, Aasiya is the soul of Raees and Mahira got that.
I saw him in Raanjhana and knew since that he is going to reach heights with his impressive presence
He shined in his meaty role with the king of acting. His dilse pathang will Udi Udi jaye highest from now on, The splendid Mohamed Zeeshan Ayyoub. i am rooting for you!
Nawazuddin Siddique is a bang on! as usual mastering his craft and adding to the usual role of the cop his unusual take. enjoyed the chase between him and Raees, their scenes together are the veins of the film. that sweets scene was fabulous, His quiet menacing tone is alluring, He is a great actor, knows his elements and renovating with every film, a stellar performance with SRK. and there you  have that in writing too sir.
Can't forget the enchanting music by Ram Sampath, the sequence in Laila is nothing but scintillating! saanson ke took my breath away and i donno why Udi Udi Jaye grew on me after watching the film!
The pace is quite good, not one dull moment, lil slow post interval but picked up fast.
the script is well written and respectfully researched. writers team take a bow for the top notch dialogues. Up to speed editing i must say, the film flowed with consistency and much ease.
It was a roller coaster of brilliance, too emotional at the end though. I never hold my tears, but this time i was sobbing like a baby. it took me a while to calm down, a lot of walking and gratefully a good bunch of calories burnt.

Raees is a full entertainer with all vivid ingredients of a superhit with blockbuster written all over it.
but it touched me deeply and made me think. It stayed with me. i think it is the ultimate success of any creative action if it reached a spot in the audience and stays there. i will carry Raees in my heart for a while.
I just wonder my dear Shah Rukh, how many hours of rinsing did it take you to get this one off your skin?

Open letter to King Khan

Along with my morning Coffee comes life as it may. Surfing around as usual, a line forced its bullets to my eyes "But unfortunately you chose surrender to evil SRK. You bowed to hate and hate won" I almost chocked on my last Coffee sip that at that moment never tasted more bitter.
What nonsense is this! King Khan doesn't surrender to anyone! nor bow for that matter, He is The King and will forever remain so. a title that was bestowed upon him by his loving fans and perhaps only them has the right to change that which will never happen because unlike you former Canadian minister of health, we know him well.

Of Course we all know the origin of this whole thing after the shameful Uri Attacks that left the Indian heart as well as ours bleeding and it is a government decision to ban Pakistani actors from working in Bollywood movies or even to cross the border, anyone who opposes that will be in legal troubles. Not you or anyone would put his reputation and business going down that lane. Not a question of kingship here, but of wisdom. Millions are invested in Bollywood films, not only profits but thousands of families of workers and crew members depending on these two giant production houses you mentioned be it Dharma or Red Chillies entertainment. what did you want them to do?
it would've been more apt in my point of view if you dedicated your hot pen and full pride to the government officials and ask them to retrieve this ban and exclude Art from politics. keep it a free bird as it is the case in Canada where you live or the countries you can talk about.

King Khan did not succumb to hate or evil, you will never fit in his shoes, so don't try to imagine how it feels like. In fact He did the most Heroic and noble act ever that you probably won't have the guts to do had you been given the chance.

SRK doesn't interfere in the choice of his cast in any film. It is solely Director choice according to the story so it was not his choice. Mahira Khan is a great actress and her being Pakistani has nothing to do with that! just like your being a Health minister in a Canadian government that has nothing to do with you being Indian. Art is Her only Passport the way it should be. And king Khan trying to patch up some old cracks in this sad world in his own little way! tried to bring a once one thread closer. but you people don't get it! you don't get him! His own people! it's really painful. He knows it's thorny yet he chosen to bleed for a better future.

It was a moment of absolute power. of courage and bravery! the desire to save millions be it workers or the smiles of people who will enjoy this work. and yes He transforms from a king to a beggar for those smiles, for that priceless love of billions, He is the beggar of seeking love only and its mercy.

King Khan is the voice of truth.  The One Proud Indian who brings India to the universal spotlight everyday just as he wakes up and breathes this air. He is the Idol of billions youngsters and the beloved of all adults and the heartbeat of us women all over the world. if love to have a face it would be his and if kindness to speak it would've been in his voice. not mentioning all his charities or achievements. you can google that, but as for a fan lover from across the globe, Shah Rukh Khan saved my life and made me better person today. if that is not his dignity, then i don't know what is.
so He wins, Mr. former minister. He wins our hearts and unconditional love for what he did, does and will be doing for years to come.

Oh yes, many Indians would have been ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with Him in the ensuing fight, but why risk it? suppose those many Indians had some job appointments and family commitments and couldn't show up to stand shoulder to shoulder in the ensuing fight, that will leave him all alone, by himself, facing the forces of darkness and pseudo patriots dictating him what to say or do to be a good citizen, He whose father died as the youngest freedom fighter of this country! He would've been left bare to the storm and as usual you would write a clapping letter while seated on your air-conditionned office somewhere in Democratic Canada to your earned his title in your eyes now King Khan while his posters being burnt and film losing to hate goons!
like it happened before, a whole Deja vu for me..there,

Take one:
Date: 12 February 2010.
Mode: Flashback
"My Name is Khan" release. SRK in New York ringing the NASDAQ bill and serenading the live audience with his wet eyes singing "Tere Naina" as his daughter's favorite tune of the movie.
while back home in Mumbai, Maharshtra specifically his film was being boycotted, posters burnt and audience hit before cinema halls over a controversy after a line he said in a cricket interview that had nothing to do with the years of hard work and thousands of people involved in the making of this magnificent labor of love that was warmly received all over the globe and made its way to be one of of his highest grossing films overseas.
He got hurt badly and so did we. His worldwide fans who felt so helpless before the destructive power of hate. back then we were all new to the word, still are i think, so we stood by him and he stood tall. King Khan doesn't bow nor bend. He sways in the tune of our love only.
and the times passed, left a wound and a scar yes, but that's how real men are made of. till date i still can't forget those night tweets, how sad he was and how heart wrenching it became for all of us his lovers. not even sure how and why it happened in the first place though.
His name is Khan and He is a Loverist!

Take two:
Date: 23 December 2015
Mode: Still Flashback
"Dilwale" release after another totally hogwash controversy lead by a misquoted statement that was totally misunderstood and extremely blown out of proportion. that too on his birthday!
boycotting calls circulated everywhere on social media, hate showed its ugly face and some cinemas were threatened to be burned if they run the film, audience got beaten and souls were endangered!
Sad SRK surfing the world for the promotion of his film. regardless of anything he does what he has to do with all dignity and grace. we bleed with him. in our birdy talks and literal loud screams. we support our idol and life inspiration but still he is alone out there! facing the Hurricane of bully and wearing nothing but his HEART. keeping in his mind the army of love that depends on him for a living, the workers and crew. His fans and well wishers everywhere who awaits his cinematic risings like the full moon in their darkest nights. why always HIM? is it because he is so successful? independent, made it on his own outsider who had nothing on but his heart, guts and lots of sadness to overcome? he owes nothing to nobody, He deserves where he is right now, on top. though he is in real the most grateful, humble and down to earth person ever but someone has to say it for him. So we Fans do. It left him heart broken and deeply hurt again, he kept his head high and his dimples flashed in every camera encounter but the wound reopened and another scar got born.

 Take three:
Date: 9 December 2016
Mode: Flash-forward
On Monday, Shah Rukh Khan paid the MNS chief Raj Thackeray a visit to assure him that the leading lady of Raees from Pakistan won’t be coming to India to promote the film.

After a tremendous thrilling response to his upcoming movie "Raees" Shah Rukh Khan the actor was shifting residence to cloud n-9. so many praises to his ecstatic performance and the glimpse of the most awaited venture is reassuring of a full ride of excellence and artistic class.
so much effort was put in the movie, powerful script and slick action topped by the epic performance of King Khan who is good when is good but when bad is way better.
but Shah Rukh Khan the businessman had to make sure his wound won't reopen and he won't be getting another scar for the new year so he did what he had to do to protect himself, his long years of dedication be it in this film or his honorable legacy of 25 years of love, blood and sweat.
but the- moral police goons sitting before their screens fighting the Don Qixhote windmills of righteous decisions of others they know absolutely nothing about -didn't like it! and started preaching as usual, king khan bowed to hate and bla bla bla..and since i am already a High BP patient, it made me sick to my stomach! i mean who the hell were there in any of the previous takes Shah Rukh kad to go through all alone without showing how painful it was just to keep people happy!
who of those screen bullies will come forward to pay the losses if protests of hate burst by the Shiv Sena or any other political party damaging all these years of heart work Shah Rukh and his co producers and Raees crew put in the film? He was working non stop for months with a broken patella putting his health on the line not listening to his doctors, living on pain killers and relief patchesjust to finish the film in time and not cause any extra troubles for the makers including his own company. where were you those who patronize? oh yes bingo! bingoo! sitting on your big fat asses chewing your pathetic old bitter anti-national gums and waiting for anything he does to start an unnecessary fire.
It became a cliche, a disgusting and most ridiculous one at the matter of fact. India is bigger then that.we love India because of Shah Rukh Khan. He through his films and personality introduced us, his foreign fans to a beautiful, tolerant, loving and most secular India that i as many of us too wished in my heart in my every coming life (if i still have any) that i would be Indian just to feel him more in his own skin.
Shah Rukh Khan is not only a National asset or Indian Pride He is a universal passion. An ambassador of love and humanity, we claim him in our hearts but we know that His heart is an Indiawaala.

Dear Shah Rukh,
King Khan, you earned this title and deserve it. You did the right thing. you offered a hand of love and peace. set an example of selflessness and care of others that should be taught. we are so proud of you king Khan! You carry a huge responsibility upon your shoulders, a burden of expectations. we understand and much appreciate all you do to entertain us in these horrid days where smiles are becoming too precious everywhere around.
There is nothing wrong in doing what you have to do to protect your loved ones, "Raees is your unborn baby, on his way to the world you need to ensure him a safe delivery and a smooth welcome. and we your fans and lovers from all over the world stand by you, support and love you always. nothing and no one can touch our love. You take care of yourself and believe in us. we will make sure your baby is most loved. don't ever be sad king, we are around you and at your back, you can count on us. your knightwriters will all be Raees for Raees ki peaceful release.
After all, it's "The universe ki hawa mein Shah rukh Khan hai, iss hawa ko kaise rokoge? "

Sincerely,
your loving Fans.

Dear Zindagi Review

"A film is not really good until the camera is an eye on the head of a poet"- Orson Welles
And what a poem it was this "Dear Zindagi"! a ballad recited in a starry night.
Film making is like realizing your dream is coming true, turning the cater pillars of your cocoon mind into colorful butterflies that take the sky and fly towards its freedom and light. and with so much bravery Gauri Shinde unfolded her wings. The story protagonist is Kaira the talented cinematographer who deals with a phase in her life that we all been through or still are. choices, being with the right guy or the right girl eternal dogmatic question and then being the dumpee before being dumped and the tragic consequences of this emotional burden we all carry like a second hump on our backs besides fear. then hell broke lose at the insomniac nights of heartbroken Kaira, saw a younger me turning like a hungry lion in a circus cage from the bed to the terrace and from one nightmare to the other. realistically portrayed by the gifted Aliaa Bhatt, i identified with Kaira only i wasn't fortunate enough to have the handsome Dr. Jehenghir Khan around . Mental illness is not a shame, it is like any disease and it needs treatment! a girl is a human being half of any society that is still in our countries suffering for just that. it took lots of guts from the mind stirring director to highlight these important issues that are our communities' crisis currently. take as many bows as you can dear Gauri Shinde, you stroke a chord in the heart of the world.  i felt like in a celebration of life watching this spring fresh of a film. like all the shy buds bloomed off my watered eyes and sunny heart. a touching experience that i will never forget.
Ready, wearing all my unrequited life queries and a little kid excitement at a trip to the fares, i stepped lovingly to the dark hall number 3.

I had read about Shah Rukh Khan the theater monster, the mammoth emotion volcano that erupts sometimes only in his fixed gazes and throws the lava of ability off his well built back turn and soul dozen packs, but then i saw him tonight in this -all seasons of a year in one- ride of delight film.
not that he had gone anywhere tho, the same Shah Rukh Khan who did A Chak De or swades did Happy New Year and Dilwale with the same dediction and zest and with pouring all his heart, mind and soul he gave us "Fan". it is a matter of dedication that he commits to with the same belief, waking up every day wearing make up and embracing the world. He gives all he has be it candy floss cinema or niche films as this one is termed. though i am not so much into any kinda art frames. Shah Rukh Khan is always there, a director actor, and a tremendous artist by default.
Watching all his previous Camera encounters and enchanting larger than life endeavors, i thought i saw it all. how will he ever renovate? create someone new every time with a totally different acting technique? but there oops He did it again! Shakira style (cheezy i know but couldn't help it) He brought Jehangir Khan to life with so much ease and effortlessness, portrayed all his emotionless emotions and not suppose to appear but we feel them, inner human struggles. this muted storm he is passing through, his muscles scorching and hands veins screaming dialogues got me totally in "shivers".
the last shot of Jug deserves all the Oscars and awards in the universe for decades. Shah Rukh Khan the actor is an Iceberg that we only scratched its summit while what lies beneath the surface is unmeasured.
(i just wish the Kursi hadn't creak. deep down in my heart i knew it would without showing it, but it was still an unforgettable moment that all of a sudden reminded me it's a movie not real life anymore)
How he took his Character to himself, that fine line between the responsible professional therapist  and the ordinary passionate man was drawn exquisitely by Shah Rukh's epic performance. The body language and his on fleek sense of humor, the use of every emotion just reached me as a viewer with all efficiency.
he wears his feelings like a glove, a true blue master of acting, i wonder how he take them off in this 2 hours long cold shower rinse!
He is where he is for a reason, an almost hour length role that bewildered me in every scene, those sea scenes were as refreshing as its real breeze splash on my tiered soul. now i know whenever by the beach, i will have some Mess(y) goals to score.
I knew more always to come out of his hat, the delivery of his simple yet deep dialogues, he nailed it and how! the extraordinary ordinary, like a full moon he was shinning yet hiding his darkest side.
the only set back is that i wanted more of Jug! i didn't want him to go..this vulnerability i sensed in a left written note on the door and an reciprocated goodbye hug touched me to the core.
this tenderness of i am holding your hand go on look at her confession will haunt me forever. i was sold to these little details of his spectacular performance, that "Kusi" thingy i will always keep.
dear Shah Rukh, keep doing and being the magic you are and we will keep falling in love with you all over again. just like we should.

Now coming to Aliaa,  she totally took me by surprise! a full package of wonders, she hit me by storm how solid performance, a bundle of emotions moving, an ocean of talent, a Meryl Streep of her own merit. Still 23 yet completely full of her role and mastering every detail, the dress code and the facial expressions that really took me on a roller coaster. i cried with koko and cheered when she did. Kaira made me one of her 5 inner circle. everyone of us boys and girls relates to kaira. her fears and insecurities, hopes and expectations. and i will never forget that 10 years old boy who was sitting in the chair next to me that i heard sobbing at the brilliant crying scene with Dr. Jehangir and rolling tears on my cheeks myself, i handed him a tissue.
thing is i don't know how will you ever get off that highway my love, you are now practically moved in.
i am super proud of my lovely discovery Aliaa Bhatt! You Go girl! super duper awesome you are! and i am with you in this Dear Zindagi forever. You just got yourself a new ardent Fan.

Since i had lost count of the times i had watched English Vinglish and how my mom and i consider it one of our dearest friends that we enjoy its company, i had high hopes from dear Zindagi. but now after watching it, our girls night in just got a new intimate friend.
Being the Scorsezee you are i am extremely grateful you exist in this world of cinema dear Gauri Shinde! the Maestro of this enticing sonata of life. a glamorous direction, sensitive topic that was handled with extreme artistry and elegance. made me look in the mirror as i got home and dearly caressed those bulging folds of my years with love not frustration.
revisited my childhood memories sprinkled balsam on the healing still open wounds.
How mighty is your camera, like a woman in love, each turn was like a coming home hug and every shot was like a kiss. the cinematography is sublime, the cadres were like paintings, a  Monnet in your own elements. every frame whispered beauty in its finest gallery. the pace was very good not one dull moment which is exceptionally brilliant to achieve in such genre of niche films. in fact i wish it lasted longer.
Such a beautiful ride of life you took us to. it is not impossible to accept ourselves just the way we are,  forgive life and open our hearts to love without fear. such a meaningful chocolate content in a folded silver paper of pretty.
Thank you all who were heroes in this film, Jackie, fatty, Raghu, Alka, Sid and Rumi. everyone fits amazingly in.
the writing is a superstar, a splendid script and an extremely heartwarming performance of all artists.
every song played on a nerve, drenching and soothing. but i wished Zindagi gale la gale was there too.
This gem of a film is just outstanding, i highly recommend watching for all.
4.5 stars just go for it!
thank you for this memorable trip that i am cherishing in my heart as my dear zindagi's own shrink. after all we do know by now that Goa is never a bad idea.

Fan view

There is a thin line between passion and obsession. when you are in love sometimes you can't see it, it blurs in the bright lights of your illusion. you can justify everything to your loving self and though with all good intentions, sometimes you end up hurting before yourself the one you love the most.
Too much of anything is less. but the Fan can't see beyond his own world and doesn't understand that the star he watches sparkling on the screen has a dark side too.
Fan is a film every Fan should watch. because if doesn't help to build your life for the better, it's not love, then it turns into mere selfish obsession.
Shah Rukh Khan versus Shah Rukh Khan they all said, i was waiting for this one because the story line tickles us all in many ways, we are all fans of something, and some of us do get carried away. This is how important this film is, it has a message that needs to reach all FANs.

Now wearing my favorite everything, all ready to go, early as usual i sat with my Coffee and observed around, all are ladies and children and all extremely excited that i saw a family coming late asking for tickets, it was house full! only front seats were available and yes, they took it.
From the first five minutes i met Gaurav,  Shah Rukh Khan creation, my friend asked: who is this actor, looks like SRK a lot! i smiled then told her: yes i wonder where they found him!
every expression of Gaurav is familiar to me, the way he collected the photos, hanged them on his wall, the passion in his eyes. i could relate. though not having photo painted wall in my room, only in my heart.
That first theater stage scene of Gaurav needs an award on its own. the way he is imitating his star and his star is in the background imitating himself all over again. this scene is a spark that lit the whole experience for me. i know SRK is a tremendous actor who is yet to show his assets, but it was freaking brilliant! schizophrenic seemed but sexy at that moment.
I clapped with Gaurav speech. you can't help but stay with him, he takes your heart, steals your logic, you relate and see his reasons. minds can't agree but hearts understand. each on of us is a Gaurav, and it's only fair to be inspired by the one whose unconditionnal love resides in billion hearts. but always with good intentions.
Every camera turn did its purpose, the make up is another hero! reaching this level of effortlessly representing VFX is magical! you don't see it but its there! take all the bows you can Red Chillies vfx entertainment. Epic stuff, Hollywood have nothing on you guys! this is such a proud moment.
Maneesh Sharma frames  puts you right in the fire. I know he is a Fan boy too, but this time He mastered it.it gave me chills all the tricks Gaurav did, how human nature changes when hurt. it's the blindness of love or may be it's sight.
But it's Shah Rukh Khan that is striking again, this unmatched energy, physical fitness and extreme dedication is beyond my mind, bec i know how hurt he was shooting and his knee injuries troubled him but you can't notice even a limp! this is what professional superstar is about. The actor in him roars excellence, those chase scenes are superb!
the darkness of the jail walls, the ache in gaurav weeping his 25 years of passion, the fire in his eyes burning the moments he made, rolled my tears all the way.
Aryan anxiety, depicting its maturity and understanding, this struggle was real and rising the bar for any artist from now on, because FAN is a masterpiece of ART.
what can i say, everyone loved it, the climax is smashing, i heard sighs, lil Ohhhss and ahhh..right in my ears from ppl i donno. i was mesmerized by the background score too, everything in this film touches you.

No songs needed, not dances but Gaurav sang with FAN eyes and Aryan danced with his starry glittering skin. keeping that balance between power and vulnerability is hard, but it's Shah Rukh Khan
where it can all happen, just right.

I am FAN OF FAN.
I got FANned and you should go get this breath of fresh air too.

P.S. I still can't believe Aryan and Gaurav and Shah Rukh Khan are the same person! this is triple FANtasy..I am mind blown king Khan! Thank you for #FAN

Dilwale

"Everyone has a heart, but not everyone is a Dilwale."

The Heart is where it all comes from, and it flows right through every sense with much ease. what starts in a blink of an eye, resides in a heart beat, remains with the soul. no matter how hard time gets, over its head the world turns, the love you feel in your big heart grows.
distance matters not, when you can forgive. as Utopic as it sounds, love always prevails and its force is awakened. (not hinting to the star wars here tho tempted but to the strains of it)
It has been almost 140 days of continuous hard work, wholehearted dedication from a cast that is gathered with so much love for each other and for their venture that shows on and off screen. The Come back of the sizzling Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol and another Bonanza of Rohit Shetty the emperor of Fun. High expectations!
like most Shah Rukh Khan ardent fans, i followed attentively the steps of shaping this beautiful artwork called Dilwale. a film that witnessed the silver screen most beloved pair SRK and Kajol hitting it off all over again from where they left. The iconic performers, the philanthropists and most human people of this glittering industry.
the royalties of Bollywood who take only their art seriously not themselves and they pay tribute to their greatness in every shot of this splendid celluloid gallery.
i have seen every film, ad, and interview of SRK almost, and the man is an institution of excellence. a university of acting, he never takes himself nor his audience for granted though he can because He Khan! but no, he never did and that probably what makes him who he is. And we feel it as much as we feel him in his constant tireless efforts to entertain everyone and enjoy himself.
Dilwale is a fast ride of beauty, i went early first day first show as always, fully concentrating and all heart to receive this labor of love with as much love as it was made with.
Heart beated so fast as it begins, won't spoil the film for those who haven't seen it but i have to give it to Rohit shetty who impressed me with those icelandish flying hearts as much as he always used to with his flying beemers, audis and golden mustangs.
An actor keeps renovating himself, digging into his deepest to regenerate his powers but here i saw a professional director who reinvented himself, totally mastering action, drama, romance and comedy with full splendor and amazing deliverance! Rohit shetty is a superstar in this one. watch out for his coming extravaganzas!

The frames are beautiful, well taken care of in terms of angles and light. Breathtaking cinematography i must say, the flash back of the story never failed to relate. i wasn't confused like most of time gaps story lines. i have to add this to the great telling of this love saga.
You can't have a good film without a good story, a strong drama, this is the skeleton of the movie and Dilwale had a straight backbone that's Calcium rich.
Shah Rukh khan, what to say you are not only an eye candy but a soul healer, with all your tiny details how you handle your character. Kaali charmed me and Raj took me by storm.
i am blown away with this powerful depiction of the vulnerable lover and the devoted son and protective brother. the struggle you quietly held in your eyes, trapped tears and jaw line grins, this is another level of acting that should be named after you SRK.
so many twists in the story that rendered it rather coherent and impressive another bonus to flavor this dishy course of art.
Your veins bursting when angry, furious features and the epic response to the fights sequences, i mean you can't be 50 man! come on! how much fit and really over the top in form and action is unbelievable!
Knowing he suffered from knee injury shortly before shooting Dilwale and how it never even affected not one scene of his especially the action ones makes me wonder is G.one was truly fictional? for this kind of pain demands only supernatural powers to bear it and yet not even a muscle shivered to show. and i know also, This G.One has it all in His big HART.

Driving chases, cars flying, bulgaria was stunningly portrayed in every shot. That brings me to Kajol, the timeless beauty, the monster of acting, how natural she is! effortlessly reaching my mind and heart with efficiency. I hated and loved Meera! as a woman it touched me, that intensity of her love and mischievousness in the same time. Her most beautiful eyes meet Shah Rukh's deep wells of secrets and both create magic spells on us their thirsty audience who truly missed that kind of waterfall.
She rolls just like a dais, a full raw diamond. Facial Expressions, body language all of her being is into Her Meera. i salute you from here Queen and please never be late for delivering such epic performances again (at least one film a year )
All the cast and crew gave their best. varun dhavan was awesome, too energetic, dedicated and absolutely meeting up his role. Dynamic presence and his comic timings with varun sharma was remarkably entertaining and sanjay mishra is a blast..i mean all of them did great!
Kriti was my surprise in this film, first time i see her act but felt like she's been doing it for long! so confident and carrying herself well before giants like SRK and Kajol i mean that counts much to the young beauty! she's on the right path. humble and doing her best. i like a lot. The window scene is my favorite of her.
Johnny lever the tycoon of laughter! i cracked up at his every scene. hilarious takes and he grows only younger this man, so full of life and ageless experience. a source of smile with the rest of this lovely Dilwale.

All cast, the stunts team the decor units, the generous production is another anonymous soldier that must be noticed. every detail was elegantly represented, the car shaped furniture the colorful ambiance of the whole movie gives you a feel of love, beauty and excitement.
That tv scene took the loudest cheers and i laughed my heart out, it's a hit!
Dilwale is a labor of love in every sense of the word.
Superlatives lose their meaning if i have to talk about how extraordinary this performance of SRK was. some tiny elements he handled masterfully, slow but steady moves, fire in his eyes with love and fury, muscles screaming of desire and pain. every frame with kajol was a volcano erupting in supremacy.
Iceland has global warming issues for sure after the flaming Gerua and this sequence of Janam Janam is beyond this world. took me to my dreams but that i can only elaborate about in poetry i guess.
Daayre captured me since i heard it, but now that i saw it, i get tears in my eyes recalling the scenes. perfect music i must say, not one song is imposed or out of context.
Dilwale is well brewed, fitting in. blending well each element falls into place so much harmony between this artists shown in constant smiles, whistles and cheers of the Arabic audience that i watched with. regardless of all cultural variations, love is the universal language that reached everyone tonight and will touch all the rest of the world post tomorrow.

It's not a professional review but my humble opinion as a viewer who enjoys good cinema and particularly Shah Rukh Khan's level of Greatness.
I strongly recommend Dilwale for the holidays watch, it's fun and heart warming, well made and respects the mind. So beautiful people!
Go watch Dilwale and Get "Dilwalified"

His Name is Khan and He is Different

"Our religion cannot be defined or showed respect to by our meat-eating habits. How banal and silly is that," said Shah Rukh Khan in a hard-hitting and outspoken interview to NDTV. Speaking on the occasion of his 50th birthday, the actor said that there was nothing worse than religious intolerance and that it would take India to the Dark Ages. He came out in support of the artistes and writers who have returned awards to defend creative freedom, but said he wouldn't do it, rather would choose a different form of protest, like a march or a strike. To twitter abusers who tell him to go to Pakistan, he said, "this is a country where my father fought for freedom and he gave me a piece of it. So I am very proud of it and I am not giving away what my father gave (me) to anyone or leaving any which way. So please shut up."

It took me a while to control my rage and anger towards all this unnecessary nuisance raised after this interviews he did with Barkha Dutt on the occasion of celebrating His 50th Birthday. To think deeply what is the reason behind all this mess of misinterpreting his words and turn it into disgraceful headlines. He is used to being targeted all over his 25 years of only bringing joy and excellence to the world, not only his people because as a foreigner i can easily say watching him and following his mind simply saved my life.
i know i'm not the only one, millions around the globe share this inspiration and owe him lots of what they are now, being productive elements in their societies and families after he touched their lives without knowing with his magical wand of hope and belief.
This angel who literally does fly, wants a better world for all of us, for his children and he doesn't only use words, but he proves it. He works 20 hours a day, through injuries and tough conditions to bring a ray of happiness to everyone, he is fearless, he dares to live not just survive. He speaks his mind the way most of us sometimes wish we can. He knows he will not be spared, why? this is the million dollars Question!
is it because he made it on his own without having a family name to rest upon or a heritage of fame to claim? because all he had was a spark of madness and a ragging grief that took him to challenge all the norms and break through to the universe of hearts beating only his love.
is it because he doesn't need anything from anyone? that he makes them feel powerless before his huge stardom, that they will never be able to touch even in their wildest dreams?
or is it because He Khan, and he is different ?
yes i think that hits the jackpot! "His name is Khan and He is different" now i have a title for my article if i may call it so.
Yes he is different, just like each and every one of us. different in his own familiarity, different in being abnormal in a world who rejects change.
Thing is, we don't have the commodity of acceptance to the other, no matter how different he is to us and our views. And i don't exclude anyone here. We find it hard to believe someone can be better or worked harder to step further, and we didn't. they can't reach out to his highest level of consciousness and awareness of his status and dedication towards his nation so they use the easiest stick in the yard and throw fits at his well spoken mind just because they can't reach this level of selflessness and clarity.
they can't understand he got his courage from a different bank of votes, He has the highest stock of hearts loving him around the sphere and i'm including roses on the moon and rocks on Mars.
He planted love and beauty, his charisma shakes mountains of solid traditional brains and brings rain to their arid deserts. He doesn't know how much ahead his being takes us, Solely He lead million Fans to live better and saved more orphan disabled minded souls and finally free from this age Cancer depression.
That's why they can't take it, He is like a pure gem in a world of glass pickers who think they should rule the masses just because they want to. but no, He leads because he walks behind and takes the hand of anyone who falls.
So before you condemn him for holding the fire torch of freedom, look at yourself first and think that as much as you don't find the tolerance in yourself to accept any difference, you will not be accepted also! it's a mutual treat. and we need to exchange that.
I find it ridiculous and disgusting that he after raising the flag of his country highest, has to explain himself every time he has a release coming and jealous parties just want an easy piece of the cake.
And to those of the Fraternity who are couldn't show up their voices scared for their businesses, your turn is coming, This intolerance monster won't spare anyone who can't fight back. but when in the dark hole, you know He will support you, that's the way he is and it's not even unfortunate.
So, No. Shah Rukh Khan, You said..Never to explain yourself. Ever.
Those who matter won't mind and those who mind don't matter!

We are your Fans, your friends as you gave us the honor, and we support you, stand by you and will never let them win. this is an ageless battle of secularism in the whole world not only India, but i trust you, we all do and we believe in your strength and wisdom, you earned our love and respect unconditionally. Shine on always the way you do! we support with you the freedom of speech and the right for every human being to express himself without hurting oe abusing anther just for a difference in opinion. Creativity needs this kind of atmosphere to flourish and no nation is ever going to prosper without its artists in every form taking its hands to light.
Stay blessed, loved and as bluntly rare and raw as you are, we are with you.
For even it's only a number, @50 it's just half the road and you have the heart of a child who has just turned 18 who somehow feels a lil like an Adult.
